Innovation Award for Resource Input Optimization Monetary Award (€20,000) given for Factor X resource productivity in business (at present only in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, at present being exported to Italy)

Resource productivity is a cross cutting issue coming up with multi level benefits from its interlinkages (see below). It is a leverage point for SD.

• International or scalable on an international level:
                    Resource productivity is a universal and international challenge
  
  
• Multi-cultural or adaptable for different cultures:
                    Resource productivity serves all cultures (everyone needs resources)
   
• Contribution to humanity / natural heritage:
                    Resource productivity meets the needs of all human beings and respects
                    the natural heritage (conservation of natural resources)
   
• Sustainable Development aspect:
                    Resource productivity is one of the conditions for SD to happen 
                    (modern life depends on resources)

Participation:

• What type of collaborative effort might be possible?
                    Each partner will have to do the announcement procedure in their
                    respective country or region. This requires tapping into networks of
                    interested parties including businesses, media, business-groups, etc.
                    Those who undertake announcement will be asked to be members of an
                    international jury. The larger the number of participants, the more
                    intense the evaluation work of the submissions will become. This process
                    will need to be organized collaboratively.
