Bellagio Forum signs MOU with the European Foundation Center (EFC)

Sept. 2006, The Bellagio Forum and EFC signed a memorandum of understanding in an effort to strengthen contacts, relationships and take advantage of clear synergies. The two membership-driven organizations express their commitment to closer partnership and cooperation and to “endeavor to collaborate on mutually beneficial activities, promoting their common interests.”Signed by the chairman and executive directors of each entity, the EFC and BFSD acknowledged their mutual interest to work more closely and to explore actively more collaborative work. BFSD Director Samuel Shiroff noted, “We are quite pleased that we have been able to sign this agreement. Ultimately it serves to recognize something that has been happening consistently over the last several years anyway. The BFSD and EFC share members and, organizations focused primarily on foundations, we have a great number of common interests. Thus, this agreement simply formalizes what has proved to be a solid basis for cooperation and, I believe, will be even more so in the future.” |
