The next Bellagio Forum meeting will take place on October 5-6 in Stuttgart, Germany. BFSD member Euronatur will act as host for the meeting which will take place at the Umweltakademie on Dillmannstrasse. The main topic of the meeting will be "Dematerialization: Shifting the Resource Use / Economic Growth Paradigm". During the first day members will discuss the possibilities for partnership within this cross-cutting and extremely relevant topic. In addition, the members will also discuss issues related to finance including the different financial instruments foundations can employ to align their mission more closely with their asset management. Guest speakers will include the Environmental Mayor of Stuttgart, Juergen Beck, Michael Wiedermann of Bayer, Alan Atkisson of Atkisson Group, Steve Smith of Ritchie Capital and many others.
In the evening the Forum, along with Euronatur, will present the Environmental Communication Award. The award winners: ProRecyclingpapier in the category corporations, Friends of the Earth Middle East in the category Initiatives, Campaigns and Institutions, and Prof. Dennis Meadows in the category individuals, have been selected by an international jury to be honored on this evening. Minister of Baden-Württemberg, Tanja Gönner will present the awards along with Claus-Peter Hutter of Euronatur and BFSD Chairman, Michael Hoelz.
As is traditional of Bellagio Forum meetings, on the second day members and guests will break up into working groups to concentrate more intensely on specific areas of interest. Their goals are to identify areas where they can work together in partnership on projects and activities that serve as examples for unique, cross-sectoral engagement for sustainable development.

The next meeting of the Bellagio Forum is scheduled to take place from April 27 – 29 in Bellagio, Italy. The Forum will celebrate its 10th anniversary.
