Endowed foundations use the return on their investments to promote, improve or preserve their specific philanthropic goals. However, the manner in which those resources were earned may not necessarily be in harmony with the mission of the foundation. The Finance Working Group is focused on how investment decisions are made with the goal of promoting long-term, sustainable prosperity as well as exploring mechanisms, such as Microfinance, that allow an increasing number of individuals to make use of capital to improve their lives as well as their family and community.
