The Bellagio Forum for Sustainable Development (BFSD) is an international network of grant-providing institutions striving to attain environmental balance, economic stability and social progress. The Forum brings together individuals from foundations and businesses to build trust, dialogue and effective partnerships.

FY2008 Toyota Environmental Grant Program  

The FY2008 Toyota Environmental Activities Grant Program is currently accepting applications for environmental projects (Global Warming Countermeasures and Biodiversity Conservation). It supports activities conducted by NPOs (schools excluded) and other private non-profit groups.

Bellagio Forum is Selected Landmark in the Land of Ideas  

Osnabrueck, 31.05.2007

Today, the Bellagio Forum was awarded as "Selected Landmark 2007" in Osnabrueck, Germany, by Uwe Hadeler, Deutsche Bank Osnabrueck. The international Forum now belongs officially to the awarded "365 Landmarks in the Land of Ideas" of the initiative "Germany - Land of Ideas".

On 31st May 2007, the guests of the Bellagio Forum were invited to experience the variety of ideas of the BFSD in the premises of the ZUK (Zentrum für Umweltkommunikation - Center for Environment Communication). The event was attended by members of the Bellagio Forum, as well as business and administration representatives.

The Bellagio Forum Launches PRIME!  

The first edition of PRIME: The Primer for the Responsible Investment Management of Endowments can now be downloaded. Or download the 4-page executive summary here.

Created in a partnership between The European Social Investment Forum (Eurosif), and the Bellagio Forum for Sustainable Development and in cooperation with the European Foundation Centre (EFC), the aim of PRIME is to assist  trustees, officers and directors of foundations to better understand and integrate Responsible Investment practices (sometimes called Socially Responsible Investment or SRI) into mandates they give to asset managers entrusted with the management of their endowments.
